CHRISTMAS IN OCTOBER!!!

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

This hot chocolate is the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted. It is creamy and full, and the hint of peppermint cools your mouth slightly, for a perfect hot chocolate experience — add on top of that a couple of marshmallows, and life is good.

William Sonoma only carries these during winter time and I can’t even find them online during the offseason, so I will definitely be stocking up — if only the cans weren’t so expensive, I’d stock up like chocolate was on the brink of extinction.

Freshman 15

baby-eating-cake

Stereotypically men are supposed to gain weight once they get married, since they go from eating a can of chili for dinner to a full homecooked meal. I have bucked that trend and lost a considerable amount of weight since my wedding day. When I went off to college, I gained the freshman 15 X 3! and it has taken me this long to get motivated enough to do something about it. What motivated me? Mostly the fact that I was about to have to buy new clothes cause my clothes were getting quite snug…the ironic part about this whole thing is that I STILL have to go buy new clothes, cause I’ve dropped so much weight. I originally set my goal as May 2010 to get into beach shape…In two months, I’m already almost halfway to my goal. [pats self on back] [clap clap clap] This has actually really motivated me seeing how much I can accomplish when I push myself.

frittata

IMG_6047
it’s been getting busier each week and we’re running low on energy. in an effort to eat on a more regular schedule we’ve been trying to plan our meals and cook more often. tonight i made frittata in a cupcake tin… i love the individual portion sizes. the original recipe calls for things i didn’t have on hand so we improvised. and of course, my version had to include potatoes!
