today emi and i went on an adventure in san jose. i must have been feeling bold thinking i could do it all on my own. emi was a trooper – i kept her out for six hours and she was so good! our first stop was sjeats, a gathering of food trucks. we met with auntie and uncle and had no idea what to expect. we chose to wait in line for mogo bbq – it seemed to be the most popular. after and hour and a half we had ordered our food. it took another half hour to actually get it! auntie and uncle had sliders and i had a short rib burrito. it was good, but really not worth the wait!

it was forecasted to be sixty-five degrees, but it was so hot out in the sun! we tried to keep emi covered and used ice from the trucks to cool off. as soon as we left the food truck parking lot i spotted a man selling paletas and i ran straight for him. mmm it was delicious! i think the coconut paleta was one of the best parts of my day! after sjeats emi and i headed over to the vendor faire, sjmade, where some friends were selling candles.
